Why I trust La Bondo Man

photo of Steve & his work.....the very reason I am greatful for this man!!!! This creative artist is building our Well Cover .......... How cool is that?

Getting Ready

The next project hubby wants to start....Thanks to Mister La Bondo ( photo of inspiration at la casa )

Have you ever been so excited that you could not sleep because you have so much to do?
Well that is why I am up at 5 Am .......I need every last hour to get stuff done...I fell fast to sleep on the sofa with food in my hand....I awoke with half of a brownie.....Who would be so nuts to do this???? And IT WAS CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!! Me not finishing the brownie? That's just crazy. It was even really good, not too sweet not too dry just right....It is not because I was brownied out I had just the one....And there it is all dried out and me awake with my coffee.....Glaring at it.
Okay so All my friends and my hubby know not to speak to me prior to at least 1 cup of java. I have learned over the years to save them as well as myself.....You see I am a Gemini....The sweet / fun side can only come out after this morning event..I do find it pretty funny that I can blog at this hour....One reason I am certain is I know that I will be left alone with my coffee and thoughts. It is now just 15 minutes after 5 and the sky is turning that wonderful deep blue... The one that has that under hue of pale light a glow that hightlights the tree line .....
It is my hope that it will be nice like the last few days....77 would me nice again....The house stayed pretty cool as I had the windows and doors open the shades down and the ceiling fans on high...
Today I shall get the kitchen done and the sheets changed....I found feed in them as I think I feel asleep shortly after feeding...My hair looking like I ate with the Alpacas....

Hubby is coming home for 4 to 6 weeks and that alone worries me...Why? Well lets put it this way......................He is all work till you drop.....I mean he will start something.....i.e. The deck project and it will be done in a matter of days...Who do you know that would with just his handy wife have a deck done, stained and the plants around it planted in less that five days?? You see where this is going.....HE HAS A LIST & AN ALARM CLOCK!!!!!!!!!!! And I know when he is away he adds more to this list............IF IT IS ON THE LIST it is as good as done...Period.....

And I would like to thank STEVE for creating yet another wish list item!!!!!! Thanks Pergula Man! Hubby learned to take phone photos so he could send a photo of the new item on THE LIST to me....The photo you ask? How about the project Mr La Bondo has done at his place?

If you keep this up buster you will either have to come to the ranch and spend a week here while I rest at your place or I will have to make sure hubby is DONE with the list at hand before he gets to visit you again......

It is hard when when hubby has friends who are artists!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What does One do When it is 74 degrees?

Why you sweep the new deck and then stain it......I KNOW I SHOULD be getting ready for hubbies return to the ranch, but really mowing and staining IS GETTING READY!!!! As this will be the first things he will notice. I am taking a break getting lunch and some ice tea and then off to clean up outside....I will get to the dishes ( I PROMISE) and the laundry too....I should put clean sheets on bed too....Alright already..... I have only so much day light!!!

What Came into the House while I was Mowing

It took me a few moments to capture the little thing...........

Ugh

Sure it is 5 am..My head is feeling like it is exploding and my sinuses are so stuffed up .....Im thinking at a slow rate and looking forward to my coffee. I made iced tea yesterday and can see now that I'll be a caffeine freak today. ( photo is of ice tea )It is already 52 degrees outside.. Hence the ice cold compress on my forehead.
The Pacific Northwest is rather wonderful when the weather is like this. Folks are chipper and one seems to need the little things, ice tea and a cool spot to sit and enjoy the day...
The cats will pounce through the pastures and buluga will find a cool spot under the brush and spend the better part of the day there.....It gives me a chance to open the doors and windows...Thus the compressor and I will clean blinds and blow dust off the books. Well it is time for more coffee....

Why We Have No Banti Eggs

It is going to be hot again today and I have decided to keep my hat close at hand....
I let the horses out yesterday...We had moved Jezzy off the pea gravel as he would not pick up his feet....Thus causing rather expensive problems....Playboy spent the first week nickering and causing a ruckus....As if we had somehow did this to him. Well anyway I put them all out together and all is good. It is getting close to dark and I arm myself with carrots and walk out to get them back up for the night. I have carrots in one hand and a stray Banti egg that I found in Proms feed tub....I have them in the round pen and Playboy is happy to eat his carrot Prom on the other hand went straight for the little egg......She ate the damn thing in front of me!!!! All I could do was bust up laughing, realizing that they are laying......They are just a treat for Prom! Pretty funny when you think about a horse eating a whole raw egg.....Thank God they are fresh..

On another note, my friend P just phoned me ...At 6:30 AM!!!
Why this is funny is because SHE is never up at this hour...She sees her first patient at 11am.....Rarely earlier...She was even wide awake...And funny....We spoke for over 30 minutes!!! A treat for us both. I said the rhubarb was ready and that she should try to make it up this week...

Planting, mowing and sun

A few photos of the work hubby put into the old brick pavers that I have hauled around for the last 10 years..... My great hubby spent a day putting in these....We had loads of fun...Dirt always is... I spent the day after hubby left planting. The huge gray thing is the well and will be covered shortly....My policy is if you can not move it , paint it then hide it.... So it will be hidden with vines of sweet peas and passion flowers...Well the last few days have been so busy......Make hay while the sun shines as it says..... Well went a to walk in clinic for ear infection and then unloaded half a truck full of top soil then picked up 5 bales of feed as the crippled old truck could not ( I dare not ) to push her further..Then unload it change rigs go to mom & dads get plants from the plant queen and then brought them back home and ran yard waste and planted the loot!!!! I too was able to plant the baby tears in the pavers.....Cutting the plants into strips and shoving them down in...Fed the crew and then planted beans and spinach...Watered and then put drops in my ears awoke on sofa....Thank God I made the coffee before resting my head to one side....

Fed all this am got the chicken coop cleaned out....Moved a string line to keep horses off of the newly planted area....Planted a few more things mowed the outside of fence area and worked a few hours and made bread....My g-ma's way..... Several rises several falls and punch and beat it down....It just does not taste the same when you do not punch it down with your well buttered fists...

Buluga outside the new porch in the shade.....Took apart an old rotting trellis and used the sides on the facia .....( black scroll work )

Back to Reality

Well hubby went back to work so he could rest....His words not mine. The final deck is done and I have only to stain the deck floor...The pavers hubby did are great and photos to follow tonight....Planted yesterday after hubby left...I fell fast to sleep in the early hours of the night after feeding...Around 7pm I think. Awake at 1 am and watched TV for an hour or so and crawled into bed and awake at 6:20 am ....Well cover is in the planning stages with artist / friend .... Hope to get more plants in today...Then we'll get to the sheetrock project downstairs in the following weeks...WE HOPE.....
