Bats @ Halleyville

Well if you have read any part of our blog you will know that sometimes we have bats IN THE HOUSE...These are not pet bats but the ones you find outside....Well while I was outside watching the sky lighten up I had to keep ducking as the bats eating the last meal of the night...I stood in the driveway enjoying their flight-dive antics and realized that the ALL were going to the same place..... OUR OLD CHIMMNEY!!!! At some point in the history of our house there was two flues that went to the two kitchens one down and one up....Well now the bats have decided to nest in them I enjoy them...........they eat all the nasty bugs. And yes they are cute....little and fun to watch...If your not a farm/ranch girlyou are probly cringing at the thought....but they do have a job....Anyway I guess we will have to get up in the attic and see how many are up there and figure out how to keep them around but not inside the house.....any ideas or advice would certainly help...

We are still alive

Altogether rather tired ....Yes it is 4 am on a Saturday morning and finally quiet......A rare treat for me these days.... We have been hard at work around here and lots has been done....Sleep is not one of these as you can tell. I spent part of the week doing things to launch web site....Not near the amount of work Angie has done....Wonder woman just flies by me with her funny wings and leaves me in the dust wondering what has just happened...I do recall two of the horses went nuts for the bag of French fries....Jezzy , his royal highness had nothing to do with them other then spitting them onto ground.

Oh and could it be any more crazy with me at the walk in clinic with a bad eye infection...The meds cause me to be out of service for at least 20 minutes, which is the same as torture...Four times a day!!!!!!!!!! Did I mention that I DO NOT HAVE TIME for this sort of none sense? And I thought about not going but the rath of hubby & friends did not seem like a stunt I should pull.... One never hears the end of it once "they" decide to torture and hurang you...

So much has happened since the last update and all...Went to folks house to see that the cats had not turned the place inside out, they had other things to do as I did not see them...Altogether that left me with enough time to leave a note for the kid and to wash kitty dishes and spoons....Got tabs while on my way back after being stopped by one island county sheriff for having not put tabs on ( 3 days late) I thankfully was within sight of DOL and explained to him that I was waiting for the office to reopen after lunch....Officer being satisfied with this went into coffee shop and eat his lunch all the while facing the doors of the DOL. Yes I was a smarty pants and waved to him after putting the 2007 stickers on the car....I could not resist. Smiled and went on my way.....

I arrived home and found horses being spoiled with carrots and apples..Hubby arrived and we went to go pick up script from the pharmacy....We had to wait , chatted about our errands ahead and what to eat......Picked up meds got into rig ( just repaired) and NOTHING!!!!!!!! The darn thing would not start, no jumpers either....Hubby opened hood.....And just glared into the abyss....
Now my amazing hubby can built anything, he can repair anything that has been built except for autos!!!! TRactor yes!!!! Truck? Car? NO!!!! It is hot and he is in NO MOOD for this....A nice man offers to give us a jump, nothing! Well any ideas? Okay we call Jim at K PRO ( in Stanwood) and tell him what has happened he says to hang tight and he'll be right there.... ( Does anyone do this anymore?) Well not 20 minutes later there Jim is hauling out tools and trying to get us on the road again......He is certain that it is not what he just repaired and thinks it is the starter after several attempts he finally gets her started and he tells us to get to his shop....Do not turn her off.....He gets on the phone and is begging to get the part.....Remember this is Friday after work past 5pm and he has come out to the Island and got the rig started and is telling us he will try to get her fixed tonight!!!! Now it is the weekend of the local fair and the weather is really nice and it is the beginning of the weekend...Now really this man has a family, he has plenty of work, his big rig and shop on wheels is decorated for the parade on Saturday and he too must be ready for dinner.....YET he stopped his world to come HELP US.....How do you thank someone for doing that? How do you reward someone for going beyond? He could have said call AAA and I'll look at it on Monday.....BUT NO !!!!! He just stopped and got to us and said I'll get it done asap....

WE hope that if you ever need to get your rig repaired and YOU want someone who CARES ABOUT HIS WORK and THINKS AND ACTS like the kind of person you would want to be yourself you will call on JIM....At K PRO..... ( Stanwood, Washington)

Now Jim has no idea he is on here and he does not need the promotion altogether I believe he deserves to be the hero of the day .....SO here it is....Our bravo award of the month goes to JIM!!!!!
