Venetian Plaster & Lights

The new light I installed just before dark!!!

I finished the final coat of Venetian plaster on the walls today...

Was cranky and still have the migrain that is now a week in the works...The house is at 50 degrees ( cold helps) and the lights are no treat...So what do you think I did when the phone rang ( noise is NOT GOOD ) I was Miss cranky panties... I owe my sweet husband a public apology for my cranky good for nothing mood.

The plaster is smooth, feels like butter and the slight sheen and glow is wonderful!!!!

I spent the better part of the day, most if not all finishing and tearing out the horrible lights one stainless yuckie thing then the old plastic hideous neon ring.... I fought the old wiring cloth covered and very scary..... I am one of those fearless girls that on a regular occasion have wired new lights without turning the power off, the switch yes ( power no) if the house is wired right it usually is not much too worry about.... The over head light was kicking my butt screws too long then too short...blaa blaa.... The wall light was easy and took less then half an hour...I had the neon one hanging there from the ceiling and was happily installing the wall one...Finished that and then cut the wiring from the neon one and the whole #!@% thing came crashing down shattering the neon ring all over the place....

The vacuum bags exploded the other day and I had no way to get it all up...So I retrieve the bag tape it up and suck the glass praying the dog and cats will stall clear of the shards of glass spread out as far as the hallway and on the Chinese carpet...I finally get that done feed by flash light and come in to find that we have only chicken hearts to feed Buluga... (smells are not good for head ) I am just now able to cook the hearts and livers on a good day but wholly moly it was a struggle tonight I left both doors wide open and left the stuff to simmer on its own while I sat on porch and smoked a cigarette...This too is not good for head ( I hear you all saying it's not good for your lungs either Missy!!!!) I thought I might give up smoking tomorrow but the week has been a challenge and I have been cranky two days in a row....

I know it was nice outside but the bright light of the sun was not something my head could handle, even now I'm in the dark without the t.v. too loud....Even the frogs drove me a little crazy today... A sound that I have loved all my life....I'd sleep with window open just to hear them....This is why locked myself inside and only took three calls....They will leave a message if it is really important...

I have to go into town and get my beloved half and half and a mirror to replace the yuckie one that was covering the hole wear the medicine cabinet was ( I was surprised to find the huge hole when I removed the mirror )

Well I bid you all good night.....Sweet dreams to all......And darling husband please forgive me for being Miss Cranky Panties.....

How the week got away from me

One of a pair of paintings in the guest room.

Well life is life I had several days that involved a migrain among other things like cleaning stalls putting barn dry in unloading the boxes shipping them off ... Rain has returned and left a few times it was very warm today and the sun went down to return the cold back to the dark....

I have decided that blowing the vacuum cleaner out with the air compressor is NOT a good idea when the bag is still in it...This will and did result in a bag exploding on you...Me in this paticuler case..The end results being one body ( already sweating) covered in a debri of cat/dog hair and dust...Mind you I was preparing the vac for a new bag ( ordered but not delivered yet) so now I have to clear the carport out with the compressor and then blow myself off... This was an idea that failed as the glue dust and sweat had stuck to my fleece headband and my neck!!!! yucko !!!! There is just not enough words that explain the ugh of it..

The horses played the water game and managed to loosen the spigot which sprayed me just prior to the above event....Hence sweaty and wet flannel ....Well you can do the math on your own...

I did not want to fry the chicken hearts for Buluga tonight.....Instead I put them in a pie plate and added a little water, shoved them in micro wave. I thinking this would be faster. I pop my yucko body into shower to remove the stuff....I come out to hear an exploding noise.... Can anyone guess what this noise could be???? Yes, my dear friends I managed to watch the entire plate of hearts exploding inside the microwave.... MORE MESS!!!!!!! I can only laugh at this point as I recall that John and I had tried this before with the VERY SAME RESULTS.... Can anyone tell that I am sleep walking????

I put some chicken breasts into pan put lid on it and fire up stovetop and go dry my body and get into jammies!!!! I figure I will put warm water and vinegar in the micro to steam off the yuck and clean it later tonight..

And my dinner you ask???? A bowl of cereal with half & half.... Easy I can't burn it or make it explode...Why tempt fate further????????

Good night y'all

My Brother

Well I have put this long enough....I just never had the time to write and do justice to my brother....Curtis is an amazing man and one of those rare people who by virtue of being born came to this life oozing talent.....He from the moment he could pick up anything was and is an artist....Our family knew this from day one...There was no doubt about this fact! EVER!!! He was left on his own during his school years.....What can you teach a perfectionist that lives and thinks outside of the boring box and creates things that make your jaw drop to the ground....
The caulk drawing is for some cafe in the Seattle area (I think) if I am wrong please correct me...The other is a photo that I found on the web, I love this photo....

I rarely, if ever adore a person but I have to admit for the first time, publicly no less that I have adored Curtis for longer than I can remember..... I have one original that he did for my 21st birthday...I shall photo it in the near future to share with you all....

Our little World!!!

The weekend was great and we had fun as well as eating our favorite foods add the dinner guest, life was perfect except we still did not have Steve and tri-pawed here....We had loads of sun....John HAD to wear his sunglasses....See Steve we do have sun...John has brought it home the past two weeks.....

The bottom two photos are of Jack L..... Chandeliers....... These are made from 4 to 13 different originals and put together by this amazing artist... He is now retiring or at least slowing down and we will not be able to buy them again....So when we move they are SO coming with us!!!

The kitchen is cute and small but the view is nice in the morning watching the alpacas....

the other photo is of the livingroom area.....

mind you my husband came home this weekend and it no longer is this clean!!!

The visit was nice and we got several things done.

More then I had thought we had time for....

Dinner guest one: JACK: priceless

We had a great time Saturday enjoyed visiting with Jack and showing out little world

Buluga and cats enjoyed annoying him a bit as well as Buluga pouting and refusing to eat the fresh liver the butcher GAVE us....She even snubbed the bit of New York steaks....YUMMY, PERFECT ONES NO LESS....... Naughty little girl.....

I am planning tomorrow without finishing today.....NOW that is funny.....As I can barely keep my eyes open and have to do laundry and dishes yet I shall not have a coffee cup for the coffee freak come morning...

The only thing worse would be running out of coffee....I did finally run out of the four bags of coffee and HAD to buy a two bags ....You should know that I did send one off with John as well as the lemon desserts we had Saturday night....

Has anyone noticed that desserts spells STRESSED backwards????

This proves that I am disturbed at least a bit.....
