Shock!

Sometime ago I had told hubby that I would not cut my hair....trim, possibly cut never.....My hair goes (did) to my belt I use to be able to tuck it into my pants....that was A few days ago.....

What Happened??????????????

Well lets put it this way I was staining the eves of the new garden shed and a rather large tree with sap, well I had my hair all twisted up in a bun ( out of my eyes & way) so the sap got entangled into my mane ( I was unaware of this) untill the following morning at which time i put hot oil on my head. I tried to do every trick.....nothing....I then spent the remaining part of last night checking out each and evry possiblities of sap removal....

I then talk to Liz and I tell her the dilemma ...she tells me she can get it all out.....I told her how bad it was and this afternoon Iwent to Camano Island and drove to her place at which point she says that we will TRY to get it out.........

FOUR HOURS LATER: she breaks my heart and tells me there is NOTHING to do but cut it out..........

I tell hubby when he calls that Liz is about to remove the MASS that has melted into an unrecognizable head of hair.

I am here after tears streaming down my face to tell you that IT (my hair) barely touches my shoulders....she managed to save more then hubby thought possible....

Now he , hubby has been VERY understanding and I am just in pure shock.....you see I have not touched my hair in 14 years and it has not been this short in at least that long.....

the other shame is that the hair SOULD have been used for locks of love....well Ang it seems neither one of us could...

Good Night kids 4 am is fast in coming...be well , keep pitch & sap outta your hair....

Alarms, bats and cats

Well the hubbies alarm is going off, I hear "honey?" over and again...Finally we are up and out of bed and I begin breakfast and lunch...And from the back room I hear " honey, we have a bat in the house"......It is 4:20 Am at this point and I am ducking up and down to avoid being hit in the head by the bat....I too have one dog nervous and pacing around about said bat......Also the killer slinky is on the hunt as it is clear to him that we ( hubby & I) are too busy trying to get the bat ourselves. The bat tours the house and I turn on the lights open door and hope he removes himself...

I put breakfast out for hubby while he eats I chase bat, cat catches bat and loses him all in a few minutes. I finally go to barn and get fishing net and return to find bat in guestroom....I plot on how to get him....I turn on and off lights, wait for him to slow down and after a few minutes he is in net. I hold him down call for hubby and put gloves on in order to untangle him from the net....Hubby looks at me and we see he is so very small.....No bigger than my thumb ( altogether he looks far larger when flying towards your head.) He is now safely in gloved hand and I take him outside at this moment hubby is yelling at me to wait so he can watch the release of said bat.....Bye bye bat.....Hello coffee...

Been Busy

I first would like to beg forgiveness for my absence....I have been so very busy with farm, hubby, garden sheds and art. I have had to make myself go to bed as hubby has quit his other job and taken on a job far closer to home, in fact he is home every night now. I wake at 4 am and make breakfast, make and pack up his lunch and then start chores, hence the missing early morning blog update.

I have been trying to keep up and it is clear that I have fallen behind in severalareas. So now I am in the midst of personal chaos....Trying to figure out how to get to bodies of work out of one sorry dragging farm fairy.

Okay it is bed time and I am saying good night to you all......
I hopeto have enough time to blog in my early mornings soon..
