on the way.....

walls are torn down and put up straight.....well as can be considering the age of her....

And time is......

You know your life is a wee bit crazy when you fly outta bed and remember that you are officially outta time and that the 9 hours you need will not stretch from the 5 you hours that you have left. So I have altered my plan and time line so that I might not turn into a full crazy person that is just begging to come out... I have watched as the transformation of the down stairs apartment takes on new and better directions. Anyway I am truly tired and there is no slowing down at this point one hopes that all the work will pay off and not be in vane...Is a house remodel ever really that vane when it started out as sewage? Somehow I know it will all be done at some point.

Bruno is fine and the truck still has not left PA. It seems that finding a truck hauler to bring it out is a bigger challenge then to actually pay for it..who knew?

Momma cat attack brood hen as she left the clutch for a few minutes, past the baby kittens at which point momma jumped onto the hen and started defeathering the poor hen...Rocky stood in shock crowing and carrying on. It was over in a few minutes and all the mommas are fine....It seems that the rule " Don't mess with the momma" applies across all species.

Well kids I have much to do today. Hope you are all well and life is very good.

When you know the end is coming.....

I spent the morning cleaning, inspecting and planning with various trades...including carpet and all then drove to town to check on steps for put title in Washington etc...ALL before noon at which time I went to feed store then met Liz at the Thai place for a little lunch...Her life a little on crash as she has to put Buddy down ( tomorrow) ...the miniature she had received as a rescued mini horse from hope for horses....The little guy is so cute but the time has come and my brave friend let him eat till he was stuffed full....we pulled butter cups in the pasture while he layed there just being. We pulled covered in dirt just being friends. Please keep her in your thoughts tomorrow....SHE IS AMAZING and one can only grieve for the pain she is going through....If you know me and my babies times it by ten and that is what she is....the day we met we knew we where kindred spirits just like Ang and I. (You can see a photo of LIZ & BUDDY on Jupiter's muses charity of the month)....I got home did all the farm chores as well as made 14 phone calls and will start first thing in the morning with other things to do with walls, head room on stairs and Lord only knows what else. The boiler has to be drained, rerouted and capped off in order to just set the walls...ugh....early am shower and doing dishes now......cleaned out area for Charlie and her 4 babies...one is injured and will not let me near it and one has disappeared there was 5 and now the four. I put out huge shallow tray of food and sat letting them to get to know me....dinner was Cheerios....with half n half....

vaccuming the grass....

I spent the morning after chores cleaning up the broken shards of glass (patio table)that the wind storm damaged yesterday. Well there I am shop vac and the wet dew vacuuming the grass that is at least 4 inches tall...I raked and then sucked the remains on up THEN i got the John Deere out set is at 2.5 inches and mowed her down....where I once again took the wet/dry shop vac and sucked up the wet glass/grass combo. I then took apart loaner vac and removed every last bit of dust and such....And then at 10 AM I mowed the rest of the yard. Then I worked on the stairs...stripping the layers of paint that one owner after the next felt necessary to add as the years came and went. And now the skin with its perma - goo on my hands are grayish green and blistered....Night you all...love you tons.
