silly Wabbit

Silly Wabbit

Some time ago my hubby and I had been exploring and had landed in Oak Harbor....It was late and we had been hungry. This put us on yet another adventure....Some tiny Chinese restaurant in the downtown area. Service was so slow to say the least so while waiting for the server to arrive we read the paper place mat with the Chinese birth/zodiac .....Hubby being born the year of the cock....I being born the year of the rabbit...Well the one for hubby said..."Rabbits are trouble" this started a private joke...And I take advantage of it at all opportunities..Last night being no exception....He sent a photo from his phone of his room mates pet, a rabbit...

I was happily meeting Liz and Judith for supper on Camano Island, leaving my phone in the car. When I started home I found this picture on the phone...I called and begged for the rabbit, a long begging session ensued and I was relentless...My final words where "wabbits are trouble."

Hubby will not be bring rabbit home..He is not trained and has spent his poor life in a small cage, being tortured by little kids...The fact that poor bunny would be eaten by our cats was the final cabosh on the whole thing.....I could hear Mike ( hubby roomy) in the back ground laughing knowing hubby was being harangued.....I told hubby he is no longer to send me photos like this if he was not bringing it home....Evil boy....

I am off to the Tim Potterf benefit auction and show this evening. I am hoping that the money raised will be enough for the things he'll need for his spinal cord injury. I rarely attend things like this, but this is a special family that I have known for many years...Keep the family in your prayers....Hope you all have a good day..

Inkling I hope that you are having a reprieve from the rain like we are....And please do not get sick....

And mister B you can not lay in the sand enjoying the warmth of the sun while I am drenched in the depths of winter...Your naughty do you hear me?

FRIDAY

Okay so it is NOT raining and I have several chores outside while I can do them without getting soaked....The fencing needs some looking after and some feed needs to be brought out of barn closer to the horses...They are still wet to the skin.Poor babies! I have been run down a bit and am very tired and this weather does not help ...wearing my cow hat helps keep my very little ears covered but not near warm enough. I ordered new rubber boots and when I went to see when they would come in I was informed they had matching hat to go with the Dalmatian boots!!!! How cool is that???? Yes, as soon as I get them I'll post photos.....In the mean time my currant boots keep the right foot dry but the huge tear in the left one is a crap shoot if I get wet or not.

The sky is very grey but not black and stormy like it has been...I have tons of errands to do today and tomorrow is the fund raiser at the Elks in Everett...I will have to get the babies fed early to get there on time.

I will post photos as soon as I can...Hubby has new photos too and he will be home for Thanksgiving and will be able to be home till Sunday...
He too is VERY tired and working many hours....And is looking forward to coming home for some rest and a big feast..We will be having ham and all the fixings....

back to it

HALLEYVILLE

There still seems to be no end to the rain here!

My gal pal Ang brought the repaired computer out in the horrible down pour....
She has been sick and still managed to have time to repair my laptop and fixed the desk top...She is doing better but might be coming down with another bug....

Everything and everyone is soaking wet...and according to the news we have broken the record for a November rain fall...And it is only the 16th!

The wettest month ever was December 1933 with over 15 inches of the stuff..predictions say that this may be broken...

Anyway I have been keeping busy with stripping the bathroom cabinets..was outside in the freezing cold sanding down the buggers...there are 8 total and I have 5 done... Was hoping to prime and paint over them but it was not going to work as I resolved to do it the old way , down to the bone and so on.

We had news that our friend Nancy, who's hubby (John) died a while back has now lost her mom last Friday. Please keep her in your prayers. My hubby is going to go out to see her on Sunday....

Hubby is busy at his job but took a Saturday off to take care of me in the hotel...Inn at the River..the staff was so nice taking care of Buluga while I spent the day having oral surgery....And then checking on me through out the weekend....

I will be going to a fundraiser for a friends hubby who was paralyzed awhile back while on the job.

The 4runner was fine for the trip to Wenachee but a day after I got home things took a turn for the worst...So I have been driving in the pouring rain and the wild winds in the two seater sports car....try packing 14 bags of barn dry in that puppy!

Well the leaves have been blown off all the trees and it is sad looking..

Rocky and Aida finally went inside the horse shelter area with the other hens to keep dry...Up until last night they would fly up the lilac tree and roost on a small branch, it being far too small for the two rapidly growing chickens..Rocky is HUGE!!! And is getting more handsome as the weeks go by.

I now have repaired teeth that LOOK amazing and the pain has warn off and I am not a snivelly snot. Thank God hubby WAS NOT home as I snivelled a whole week...I didn't even want to be around me..Thank You Dr. Fluegge! You are amazing...And so is your wife! It is good to have a GREAT Dentist....even if you have to drive the nasty pass to get to him! You have a first class staff and the fact that your care does not end after you leave the office makes you top in my list of amazing people. Thanks for all your calls....

The vet too was out too for a barn check and some updates....

Well I am sure more has happened since my last post..It is hard to remember yesterday let alone a series of days...sorry about that! I am well and have stayed busy, wet but busy....I am planning on a cleaning day and if it is not too cold will go out and finish up the other 3 doors.....hoping the horses dry out....

Well I hope you are all well..I'm going to be able to visit Inklings blog as well as Bondo and everyones else's that I'm now at least two weeks out of touch....Ang updated me on some of the big news.....

Hope your all well and I am glad to be back!!!!

Note from Ang

Hey all it's Ang,

Just a note to let you know what's going on. I went out to Halleyville and spent 6 hours trying to find out why her laptop decided to take a vacation on her.

After 6 hours both of us wracking our brains I brought her laptop home. I am in the process of taking all of her saved pictures and documents off her computer to restore it back to factory settings and then put the documents/pictures back on.

In the meantime she does have computer access with a desktop that is hanging on by it's last leg. I may be doing the same to it as well.

But I wanted to let you know Farm Fairy is alive, well, and kicking and as soon as she can she will start posting here again and getting everyone caught up.

She sends her love to you all and thank you's for your prayers for her.
