Some relief arrived here finally, if not momentarily.... Anyway the last week we have managed to complete the the final stages of irrigation and the newly planted plants ( If November is even close) The plants that did live are now thriving .....In our defense some plants lost there battle to slugs, hubbies arch enemy....
Now about this morning adventure....It started as usual nothing too get up about, breakfast, pack lunch, find socks among other things that hubby miss places.....I went down to the canning kitchen for drinks to put in honeys lunch box and was greeted by the flying bat #2 Now I am not one of those girls that squeal or react like Mrs.Cleaver.....I simply decided to go about my chore and returned to inform hubby that another bat had found relief from the heat in one of the 4 fireplace flues we have in our old farm house....2 are from the old wood cook stoves and are now sheetrocked over...The remaining two ( one up and one down) are in use...The upstairs fireplace is enclosed but the down stairs has an open flue making it a wonderful cool place for our flying friends....I asked hubby could we keep this one and without looking up he said yes........Well now he goes down stairs opens the only opening down there other than the flue. I am hoping that I do not have to play the fish net chase game with him ( too much stress for the little guy) Hubby asked me to get him upstairs so he would eat the flies and mosquitoes..........I could only hope....He is down there still as I can hear him.....A thought crossed my mind that I could look up bat removal on the internet if I had to....Which frankly I would just not do....

You kept saying that you thought there was another animal in the house last night..That shriek would have been me..Then you would have seen your sister pee her pants. Now that would have been a funny.
